Merida is one of the most touristic places in Venezuela. Its perfect climate is due to its altitude where over 2,000 meters over the sea level, pics suround the city. Towards the outskirts of the city, there is El Gavilan, a farm that produces wine and other products from a local berry known as mora (boysenberry) which have extensive healthy properties. There is an interest to expand the business focusing on health care where treatments are based on natural products derivative from the berry. There is an opportunity with developing a portion of the extensive land, and there is an interest of using rammed earth construction technique as it aligns with the place's philosophy. The project includes about 700 SM (7,500 SF) of hotel rooms, cabins, a spa with natural thermal pools and a restaurant. The Idea is that locals and selected tourism can receive a special treatment where while having splendid scenery views, they can enjoy healthy meals, body healing and hiking adventures.
