Lea Stagno is a Registered architect in Venezuela and is currently a Senior Designer based in Brooklyn, NY. Prior to studying an M.Arch at Cornell, she worked for 10 years as an architect in Miami. After finishing her studies, she stayed on at Cornell to teach Core Design Studio for the 1st year BArch program. Lea’s design inspiration is highly influenced by local materials, with her company, Cínaro Studio, Lea has been working on two projects, one each in Maine and Merida, Venezuela, in which she will continue exploring earth construction along other local techniques.
